My name is Gena Mayo and I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of six young children and wife to a wonderful husband of 10 years, Michael.   

I received a Bachelors of Music Education degree from Baylor University in 1995 and a Masters of Arts degree in Vocal Pedagogy from Texas Woman's University in 1999.  I taught in the public school system for 5 years (junior high choir and elementary music) before having my first child.  I have now been teaching Musikgarten from my home since 2001 and have been trained, certified and licensed in all the younger levels of Musikgarten.  I have chosen to teach this wonderful program for a few different reasons, one being that I want my own children to participate and learn in it.  We hope you'll join us!
